Trainings (pick 1 of them)
Trainings will be financially sponsored by IAESTE Austria, Local Committee Vienna
Teamwork vs. Distances & Knowledge Transfer (Trainer: Michael Debono, MT)
IAESTE works in teams and many times across distances and different countries. This training group will help you build powerfully successful work teams and allows you to work across distances using online collaboration tools. We will see how other people are using these tools in their own organization with their own great tips. We will also see how you can keep the valuable IAESTE knowledge within your organization by methods of knowledge transfer.
Who should participate in this training group? Anyone who wants to pass on knowledge to new members, or who feels that knowledge is lost from year to year due to changing people in the committee; also anyone who simply finds difficulties in finding the right time to schedule a meeting, or anyone who needs tools to collaborate more effectively online.
Communication & Presentation skills (Trainer: Suleiman Arabiat, JO)
The key element in any of the IAESTE activities, whether they are among us (internally), or externally (our local communities and partner), is a strong and clear communication. In our Training Group, you shall learn the essential skills for developing such a form of communication. Your knowledge in powerful communication shall be enhanced, by learning the correct form of developing clear and strong arguments, the basis of communication within international communities, and also by exploring the aspects of written, oral and visual communication. All of this shall be based on the latest knowledge provided by prominent neurologists and psychologist, adding to it a flavour from our IAESTE experience.
Also, you shall learn how to excel in presentations by breaking the “boring people to death” methodology, and we shall discuss speech-making, and learn how to analyze speeches in order to capture the right techniques.
I encourage anyone seeking a leadership position within IAESTE or later on in life to join our Training Group, as having clear communication, supported by strong tools (presentations and speeches), is a cornerstone of a successful leader.
Project Management (Trainer: Young You, KR)
You will learn in this training group about tools and techniques for the integrated Project Management Process (PMP) and how to meet just-in- time delivery of tasks/products by applying PMP techniques.
